1 Day Exploring Elephant Camp Kalaw

From your hotel in Kalaw, we will pick you up and drive straight to Green Hill Valley Elephant Camp – where to protect the elephant in many years. Up on your arrival to the elephant camp, the staffs will welcome you and introduce some necessary information about the camp and safety instruction before starting your visit.
Then you will walk about 5 to 7 minutes to the elephant village and discover the life of mahouts with their families. You will be introduced to the elephant and have chance to feed them by the food prepared daily by the camp. After that, it’s time to see the elephant bathing on the river. If you wish you can join for washing them.

Please note that riding is not the main focus. You will be in touch with elephants as Mahouts during the washing time.

There will be a chance for you to help the camp on their forest recovery project by joining them planting one regional tree for forest recovery effort. (Due to the season, the camp doesn’t operate planting trees the whole year. But you are welcome to help in their seedling process for forest recovery program.)

Enjoy the simple lunch at the main camp.

After lunch time, let visit the recycle paper project from elephant poo, and further learning elephant study with Skeleton.
The camp staffs will talk to you more about the elephants and forest. Then you can explore the forest area with opportunity to see butterflies, birds and orchids in the conservation area. If you wish, you can spend more time in the nature by your own exploration in the permit time.

Finally, drive back to your hotel in Kalaw. (There will be extra fee if you start/end the trip at Inle)
